New stone roof for a church in Oxfordshire
May 20, 2021
Recently completed was the complete reroofing of the historic church of St Michael above the picturesque village of Clifton Hampden. The roofs were recovered with Cotswold stone slates and the opportunity was taken to undertake high level stone wall repairs, restoration of several stained glass windows, recreation of a missing gable cross and undertake a long overdue inspection of the bells. Phase 2 works for 2022 include creation of a new memorial garden and the restoration of several churchyard features.
